Getting started
- Install GMVify Upload from the Shopify App Store and open it from your admin.
- Turn on the “Upload boxes” app embed in your theme (Online Store › Themes › Customize › App embeds). The home page in the app links straight to it.
- Add an upload field: pick a template for your trade (photo prints, stickers, apparel, pet portraits and many more) or start from scratch, then choose which products it appears on.
- Open one of those products in your store: the upload box appears above Add to cart.
Common questions
The upload box doesn’t show on my product page
Check that the app embed is on in the theme you’re viewing, that the field is turned on, and that its product rules include this product. If your theme puts Add to cart somewhere unusual, add the Upload box block to the product template in the theme editor instead.
Where do I find the files?
On the order page in your admin, in the GMVify Upload block: each file with its size, crop and a download link. For a photo the customer cropped, Print file downloads the crop cut from the original at full resolution, ready to print. The GMVify Upload home page also lists orders that are missing a required file.
A customer needs to change a file after ordering
Customers can add or replace files from the thank-you page and their order status page for a number of days you choose in Settings. You can also send them the upload page link from the order block.
What files and sizes are allowed?
Photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP), PDFs, print files (AI, EPS, PSD, SVG, TIFF) or any file including ZIP, as you choose for each field, up to 20 MB per file on the Free plan and 1 GB on Pro. Large files upload in parts and resume after a dropped connection.
How long are files kept?
30 days after the order on Free, 365 days on Pro. You get a reminder a week before files are deleted. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I remove GMVify Upload?
Uninstall it from Settings › Apps in your admin. It doesn’t edit your theme code, so nothing is left behind; your files and settings are deleted after Shopify confirms the uninstall.
